Life is a balance, and there is no better reminder of that than children. As adults, they teach us lessons every day of what is truly important. Being active in the public school system and volunteering our time at the schools made us realize how important parent and community involvement is to enhancing our children’s education.
After coming up with the idea of creating print tunic tops women and girls, that are fun, fashionable, comfortable and oh so versatile, we also wanted to create a company that was socially conscious.
So Squash Clothing is going to do it’s part by donating 20% of their sales to the public schools starting here in Portland at Title One Schools (over 50% of the kids qualify for free and reduced lunch). This is to help support the education of our youth. Our goal is that, as growth occurs, we will be able to donate more of a percentage and expand the offering to more public school systems.
We are excited about our venture. We will be keeping you posted on where the money is going and how it is benefiting our schools on our blog. We will also keep you updated on our creative and outdoor activities that help inspire our lives, including all things Squash. And of course all the fun new products we will be presenting!
